Marianne Faithfull - first year of fame

Just scanned these from a UK magazine that had a small article about Marianne's first year of fame (1964, when she was but a blushing 17).  All photos were taken by John Pratt, in Reading where she lived with mum Eva.  The other girls in the photo of her looking at the book were friends from St. Joseph's (the convent school she attended).  I had never seen most of these photos from the session that produced the well-known photo of her with Sarah (her dalmatian):
Enjoy!  (all photos = my scans)

great post, I think this is my best blog on bookmarks. Most of the models are talking about it, and you must be proud about it, specially if they're mentioning your blog. 2j3j

Known her for some 63 years. Therefore I doubt the veracity of ''Living on the Wall.'' At that time she spent most of her time at Yew Tree Cottage. In the late 70 s however, she did squat at Uverdale Rd World's End.
Never forgot how small her hands are Glove Size 5! Also got into a few rucks in public on her behalf, never forget one in the Cross Keys after recording Broken English!

When I took my Daughter Nadia aged 5 to meet M she knew she was some of note. So but when M asked her who she thought she was Nadia replied a pop singer. ''Right'' replied M
And you've been on Top of The Pops'
''Right again , so, who am I ?''
'Blondie' replied Nadia.
'Tone that kid is going places!'
And she did!
